About the Role
Our client is looking for a talented Frontend Developer with a strong foundation in ReactJS and deep expertise in CSS to join their growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about crafting intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Candidates with prior experience in map-based libraries (e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox, Google Maps API) will be given priority. Familiarity with modern styling frameworks like Tailwind CSS and UI component libraries such as Material UI, Shadcn, or similar will be considered a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize user-facing features using ReactJS.
- Implement responsive designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility using modern CSS practices.
- Integrate and customize map-based libraries to build interactive, location-driven applications.
- Work with Tailwind CSS and other styling frameworks to accelerate UI development.
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality features.
- Leverage component libraries like Material UI, Shadcn, or similar for consistent UI/UX.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
Skill & Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Frontend Developer, with a focus on ReactJS.
- Strong expertise in CSS (Flexbox, Grid, animations, responsive design).
- Proven experience with map-based libraries (Leaflet, Mapbox, Google Maps, etc.).
- Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and modern frontend tooling (Webpack, Vite, or similar).
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or willingness to learn.
- Experience with UI component libraries (Material UI, Shadcn, Chakra UI, etc.).
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration with backend services.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to TypeScript.
- Experience with state management tools (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, etc.).
- Understanding of accessibility (a11y) and performance optimization in frontend applications.
- Prior work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Employment Structure
- Hybrid (expected to work 3x a week from office) in Nikunja 1, Dhaka | Full-time & Contractual
- Salary: BDT 100,000 - 140,000
- Benefits: Office breakfast and lunch + Company laptop will be provided + 2 festival bonuses per year + Can expect discretionary KPI bonuses for extraordinary performance.
- Work Week: Sun-Thu, start-up environment working with Norwegian companies, so you can expect to work beyond that
