About the Role

This Senior Data Engineer will play a key role in supporting our client's data and analytics initiatives by building scalable data models, metrics, and reporting tables to enable data-driven decisions across product and engineering teams. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where data is central to product and business success. The position reports to the Director of Data Analytics and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with product teams to develop meaningful metrics, define path forward, remove ambiguity and roadblocks, and drive to completion. Act as an owner, ensuring success despite obstacles.
  • Write SQL code in DBT to build and reporting tables with the metrics needed to visualize in dashboards, including AWS QuickSight and Tableau.
  • Work with other BI Analysts, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and team members in product and design to solve problems collaboratively. Strong collaboration and technical expertise are required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working as a senior data engineer or other data-centric position. Must include experience partnering directly with stakeholders to define data problems, determine strategy, define metrics, and create necessary data structures.
  • Strong SQL skills (proficient with all joins, CTEs, window and aggregate functions, etc.).
  • Experience in ETLs (experience with DBT, AWS DMS, Fivetran, and Boomi preferred).
  • Experience in data warehouses (AWS Redshift preferred).
  • Strong accountability skills, including responsibility for completing work independently, raising blockers with urgency, persisting despite obstacles, and learning from past mistakes.
  • Highly curious nature. Must be driven to solve problems and dig deep to find solutions and ensure understanding. (services a plus)
  • Strong business acumen and ability to contribute to business objective achievement through data-driven insights. 
  • Experience working in the field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Hybrid (3 days remote & 2 days onsite) in Uttara 12, Dhaka | Full-time
  • Salary: BDT 250,000 - 300,000
