services that support long-term success. We are seeking a dedicated
Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in weight management to join our
team on a contract basis and help us make a lasting difference in our
community.
Position Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner will work directly with patients to develop and
manage personalized weight loss programs. The ideal candidate will have
a strong background in weight management, excellent patient care skills,
and a passion for helping others improve their health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform in-person patient assessments and consultations focused on
weight loss and lifestyle changes.
Develop individualized, medically sound weight loss treatment plans,
including dietary, exercise, behavioral, and pharmacological
interventions.
Prescribe and manage weight loss medications as appropriate.
Provide ongoing education, motivation, and support to help patients
achieve their goals.
Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records.
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure quality, coordinated care.
Qualifications:
Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in GA.
Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Nurse
Practitioner (ANP) preferred.
Previous experience in weight management, obesity medicine,
endocrinology, or wellness programs is highly preferred.
Strong clinical assessment skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
Certification or specialized training in obesity or weight management is
a plus.
Familiarity with prescribing GLP-1s and other weight loss medications is
desirable.
Strong interest in community health and preventative care.
Compensation:
Competitive contract rate to be discussed based on experience.
