Job Overview:

Our client, a fashion retailer, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing and Sales Assistant Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales and marketing, with a proven track record of driving sales and increasing brand awareness. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract and retain customers, as well as managing the sales team to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies that align with overall business objectives.
  • Create, implement, and monitor retail marketing campaigns, including promotional activities and brand messaging.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and sales data to inform marketing tactics and identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and channels, ensuring a cohesive and appealing brand identity to the target audience.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and programs, using data-driven insights.
  • Manage the marketing and sales budget effectively.
  • Use sales data, market analysis, and customer feedback to identify what products are in high demand and what trends are emerging. This information is crucial for the buying teams.
  • Contribute to demand forecasting by providing insights into upcoming marketing campaigns and promotions, which directly impact how much inventory will be needed to meet anticipated spikes in customer interest.
  • Communicate consumer preferences and gaps in the current product assortment to the buyers, influencing decisions on which new products to stock or which existing lines to expand or discontinue.
  • May provide input on managing the lifecycle of products, including suggestions for markdowns or clearance sales for items that are not selling well, in collaboration with the merchandising and buying teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in retail sales and marketing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and techniques
  • Proven track record of driving sales and increasing brand awareness
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and marketing software/tools
