RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Overview:

A leading maternity care unit in Polson, Montana, is seeking a compassionate and reliable Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join its team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity for an RN with a foundational background in maternal health to provide expert care and emotional support throughout the childbirth experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver hands-on care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods.

• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, administer medications, and assist with deliveries.

• Educate expectant mothers and families on labor processes and postnatal care.

• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and interdisciplinary care teams.

• Ensure patient safety and maintain accurate, timely documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

• Current Montana RN license upon hire.

• BLS certification (AHA) upon hire.

• NRP certification (American Academy of Pediatrics) required within 90 days of hire.

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• National certification in labor and delivery or obstetric nursing upon hire.
