Director of Surgical Services

Job Overview:

A respected healthcare facility in Mayfield, KY, is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Surgical Services to oversee the daily operations and strategic direction of the surgical department. This senior-level role is ideal for a licensed RN with strong leadership capabilities, excellent clinical insight, and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative and clinical leadership to the surgical services team.

• Oversee staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and compliance within surgical operations.

• Develop and implement departmental policies and quality improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other departments to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.

• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous professional development.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent professional experience.

• Active RN license in the state of Kentucky.

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in surgical services or a related clinical area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

• PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
