A leading cardiovascular care facility in Houston, TX, is actively seeking a skilled Heart Failure ICU Nurse Practitioner to join its critical care team for full-time night shifts. This mid-level role is designed for an AGACNP with strong clinical acumen, advanced certification, and a passion for caring for high-acuity heart failure patients in an intensive care environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage complex cardiovascular patients with heart failure in an ICU setting.

Perform advanced assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage clinical care in collaboration with attending physicians.

Interpret diagnostic tests and lab results to guide evidence-based interventions.

Provide education and counseling to patients and families on disease management and discharge planning.

Ensure compliance with ICU protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:

Licensed Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP).

Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas.

Board certification from ANCC, AANP, or AACN in acute care or relevant specialty.

Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Minimum of 2 years clinical experience (RN or NP) in cardiology, cardiac care, or cardiovascular nursing.
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working with heart failure patients.

Acute Care NP experience in an ICU setting.
