A leading cardiovascular care facility in Houston, TX, is actively seeking a skilled Heart Failure ICU Nurse Practitioner to join its critical care team for full-time night shifts. This mid-level role is designed for an AGACNP with strong clinical acumen, advanced certification, and a passion for caring for high-acuity heart failure patients in an intensive care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex cardiovascular patients with heart failure in an ICU setting.

  • Perform advanced assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage clinical care in collaboration with attending physicians.

  • Interpret diagnostic tests and lab results to guide evidence-based interventions.

  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families on disease management and discharge planning.

  • Ensure compliance with ICU protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP).

  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas.

  • Board certification from ANCC, AANP, or AACN in acute care or relevant specialty.

  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience (RN or NP) in cardiology, cardiac care, or cardiovascular nursing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with heart failure patients.

  • Acute Care NP experience in an ICU setting.

  • RN background in cardiovascular or heart failure ICU.
