Job Overview:

A state-of-the-art oncology center in Coos Bay, Oregon, is seeking a skilled and certified Radiation Therapist to join its patient-centered cancer care team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.

  • Operate radiation therapy equipment and ensure accurate setup, imaging, and dosage delivery.

  • Monitor patient responses and maintain detailed treatment records.

  • Follow strict safety and infection control procedures in all treatment areas.

  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, physicists, and other oncology professionals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program.

  • State of Oregon license in Radiation Therapy Technology.

  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (or eligible with certification required within 6 months of hire).

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA).

  • High school diploma with completion of a 24-month course in radiation therapy or a college-level radiation therapy program.

  • Up to five years of continuous employment in radiation therapy accepted; new grads welcome.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
