Ultrasound Technician

Job Overview:

A trusted medical facility in Mayfield, KY, is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician to perform diagnostic imaging procedures across a variety of applications. This mid-level role is ideal for a credentialed sonographer with experience in general and specialized ultrasound techniques, committed to patient comfort and imaging accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ultrasound exams including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, neonatal, breast, testicular, and other small parts.

• Operate sonographic equipment and ensure optimal image quality for diagnostic purposes.

• Prepare and position patients appropriately for procedures while maintaining comfort and safety.

• Collaborate with radiologists for timely and accurate image interpretation.

• Maintain detailed documentation and uphold compliance with imaging protocols and safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology.

• Must have completed an accredited DMS program or hold ARRT or DMS certification.

• Minimum of 1 year of sonography experience (3 years preferred).

• Demonstrated competency in performing a variety of ultrasound scans for radiologic interpretation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three (3) years of relevant experience preferred.
