Position Overview
Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking a compassionate and patient-centered Pharmacy Manager to lead operations at a newly established pharmacy located at 1 Medical Center Drive, Suite 1, Galena, Illinois. This is an exciting opportunity to manage and grow a pharmacy practice while working closely with healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care.
The Pharmacy Manager will serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and oversee pharmacy operations, staff leadership, clinical collaboration, and patient care services. This role requires a motivated leader who is passionate about improving patient outcomes, supporting clinical teams, and fostering a positive pharmacy culture.
This position offers competitive compensation based on experience, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance for qualified candidates. In addition, employees are eligible to receive a 10% performance-based bonus after one year of employment based on salary and performance metrics. The role also provides an excellent work-life balance with a weekday schedule and no nights or weekends.

Nuvem Rxs Pharmacy Management Team is dedicated to empowering pharmacy leaders to effectively manage operations, build strong clinical relationships, and improve patient outcomes. As Pharmacy Manager, you will serve as an integral member of the patient care team while leading pharmacy operations and staff development.
Essential Job Responsibilities

Provide patient counseling and education regarding medications and treatment plans.

Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to support patient care initiatives.

Manage pharmacy staff including pharmacists and technicians, providing leadership, mentoring, and training.

Foster a positive team culture focused on compassion, professionalism, and accountability.

Oversee pharmacy operations including workflow, patient safety, and compliance.

Ensure adherence to regulatory and professional practice standards.

Manage pharmacy inventory, financial performance, and loss prevention strategies.

Maintain quality assurance programs and ensure exceptional customer service.

Participate in clinical meetings and provide drug-related education to healthcare staff.

Stay current with HIPAA, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training and credentialing requirements.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.

Ensure pharmacy staff adhere to organizational and facility policies.
Required Education & Licensure

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.

Active pharmacist license in the state of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain licensure).

All licensing and credentialing requirements as mandated by federal and state regulations.
Preferred Experience & Skills
-
Minimum 5 years of pharmacist experience.

Minimum 3 years of pharmacy management experience.

Previous retail or outpatient pharmacy leadership experience preferred.

Experience with 340B pharmacy programs is a plus.

Immunization certification preferred.

Experience administering vaccinations.

Experience developing and implementing pharmacy growth strategies.

Strong leadership, communication, and patient service skills.
Physical Requirements
