About the job Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Purpose:
To ensure that all projects and operations meet defined quality standards and regulatory requirements by implementing quality assurance processes, conducting audits and inspections, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functional Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
- Ensure all processes, procedures, and work instructions are documented, controlled, and effectively communicated
- Contribute to IMS certification, surveillance, and recertification audits
- Map and review business processes to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Develop and implement QA plans and quality control procedures
- Monitor process performance against KPIs, SLAs, and defined quality benchmarks
- Develop and maintain quality dashboards and reports
- Plan and conduct internal audits in accordance with ISO 19011
- Participate in external audits, client inspections, and regulatory assessments
- Identify non-conformities and ensure timely closure through corrective actions
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure proper documentation and tracking
- Lead root cause analysis using structured methodologies (e.g., 5-Why, Fishbone, ICAM)
- Implement and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Map, review, and optimize business and operational processes
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks, and recommend improvement actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
- Develop and maintain quality dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports
- Analyze trends, recurring issues, and process deviations to support decision-making
- Ensure proper document control for all quality-related documents
- Maintain accurate records of audits, inspections, NCRs, and CAPA actions
- Ensure traceability of materials, processes, and deliverables where applicable
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, procurement, and project teams to embed quality requirements
- Interface with clients, consultants, and contractors on quality-related matters
- Conduct regular quality audits on service interactions, processes, and outputs
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline)
Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably in utilities, oil & gas, or construction sectors.
Languages
- Fluent in English (Written & Spoken).
Required Competencies:
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and standards (ISO 9001 & ISO 14001)
- Certified Internal Auditor (ISO) or experience in internal auditing practices
- Experience in audits, inspections, and managing CAPA
- Professional certifications (e.g., CQE, CQA) are a plus
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to identify root causes
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and projects
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
