Safety Section Head

Role Overview:
As a Safety Section Head, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols, procedures, and initiatives across TAQA Power's operations. Your role will be crucial in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and mitigating risks associated with power generation and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and systems that align with Egyptian regulatory frameworks, international standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001), and company best practices. 
2. Prepare Method of Statements, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments, plan and conduct regular site safety audits, inspections, proactively identify hazards and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are in place. 
3. Lead safety training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders to promote awareness and best practices.
4. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
5. Collaborate with project, engineering, and operations teams to embed safety considerations into the planning, execution, and review of all activities, including new projects and maintenance works.
6. Stay well-informed of industry trends, emerging risks, and evolving technologies to recommend and implement enhancements to existing safety strategies, systems, and KPIs.
7. Ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety legislation and company policies, while maintaining detailed and timely documentation and performance reporting for internal and regulatory use.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (7+ years) in a safety management role within the energy or related industry.
• Bachelor's degree in safety management, Engineering, or a related field (Masters preferred).

• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards (OSHA, ISO, etc.).

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
