Role Overview:
As a Logistics Specialist at TAQA Arabia, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for coordinating logistics activities, managing transportation and warehousing, and ensuring efficient distribution of materials and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire import logistics process, including arranging transportation, booking shipments, and tracking deliveries from international suppliers to the final destination.
- Ensure all import documentation (packing lists, commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.) is accurate and compliant with international trade regulations.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to secure timely shipments and resolve any issues or delays.
- Handle all accounting and payment matters, ensuring timely payment of duties by monitoring invoices and due dates.
- Monitor and manage shipment schedules, ensuring alignment with company deadlines and inventory requirements.
- Provide pre-alerts on incoming shipments, gathering necessary clearance documentation and costings.
- Verify freight forwarder and clearing agent costs against approved rates.
- Manage the ACID creation process and finalize all required information on NAFEZA.
- Ensure all relevant import documents comply with Egypt's guidelines and provide the necessary documentation for customs clearance on time to facilitate a smooth process and avoid additional charges.
- Follow up with the clearance company regarding the full import process from vessel arrival to customs clearance.
- Verify all service providers' invoices, ensuring timely payments to all authorities and partners to prevent delays in shipments.
- Support the Global Logistics Team in the tendering process and project implementations.
- Monitor and manage incoming shipments to align with inventory levels, preventing shortages or overstock.
- Track import-related costs (freight, duties, customs fees) to ensure cost-effectiveness and report on potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on shipment status, costs, and overall import performance to management.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or International Trade.

Proven experience 2-4 years as a Logistics Specialist or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of logistics software and systems.
- strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Solid experience in managing importation/clearance and transportation.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
