The Director Road Transport and Pricing Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the companys road transport network, pricing strategy, and operational performance. This leadership role
ensures that transport services are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with company standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Planning
· Develop and implement strategic road transport plans aligned with organizational objectives.
· Lead the optimization of fleet utilization, routing, and resource allocation to enhance efficiency.
· Collaborate with executive leadership to align transport operations with business growth goals.
2. Operations Management
· Direct day-to-day transport operations, including scheduling, dispatching, fleet maintenance, and compliance.
· Ensure timely, safe, and cost-efficient movement of goods across domestic and regional routes.
· Oversee performance metrics (KPIs) such as delivery lead time, cost per kilometer, fuel efficiency, and downtime reduction.
3. Pricing & Cost Management
· Develop and execute dynamic pricing models for transport services based on market trends, cost structures, and client requirements.
· Negotiate transport contracts, rate agreements, and vendor partnerships to maximize profitability.
· Monitor fuel prices, toll charges, and maintenance costs to manage transport budget effectively.
4. Compliance & Risk Management
· Ensure full compliance with transport regulations, permits, and safety standards (e.g., NHA, Motor Vehicle Ordinances).
· Implement road safety programs and driver training initiatives.
· Identify operational risks and establish mitigation strategies.
5. Team Leadership & Development
· Lead, mentor, and develop a team of transport managers, route planners, pricing analysts, and field operations staff.
· Promote a performance-driven culture emphasizing accountability and innovation.
6. Client Relationship & Service Quality
· Collaborate with key clients and internal sales teams to design tailored logistics solutions.
· Oversee service-level agreements (SLAs) and ensure high customer satisfaction through reliability and transparency.

Qualifications & Experience:
· Masters or Bachelors degree
· Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in transport or logistics operations, including 5+ years in a senior management role.
· Proven experience in road freight, transport pricing, and route optimization.
· Strong analytical and financial acumen with knowledge of transport costing models.
· Familiarity with ERP / TMS (Transport Management Systems) and fleet management software.
