SABRE Software Engineer - Big Entities

Our client Big Entities is looking for SABRE Software Engineer in Lahore.

Job Summary:

A person skilled and experienced SABRE Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with specific expertise in the SABRE system used in the travel and hospitality industry. The role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing SABRE-based applications to enhance our business operations and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, record, and maintain cutting-edge web-based PHP applications on the portal and premium service platforms.
• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team.
• Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications.
• Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools.
• Utilize backend data services and contribute to increasing existing data services API.
• Work on the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post-launch support.
• Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues.
• Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.
• Coordinate with co-developers and keep the leader well informed of the status of development effort and serve as a liaison between development staff and project manager.
• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum 8-10 years of related experience
• Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Experience with SABRE Web Services and APIs.
• Experience with other Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus or Travelport is a Plus.
• Proven experience as a PHP developer with in-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel framework.
• Hands-on experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles, REST API design.
• MySQL profiling and query optimization.
• Creative and efficient problem solver.
• Good working experience with modern JavaScript framework (Angular, React)
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
• Experience with version control tools (Git).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player.
• Proficient English, both written and verbal
