Tarkine Consulting is working with a large Australian insurance program delivering a critical data migration initiative across core platforms.

This role sits within a transformation stream focused on migrating data from legacy environments into a modernised platform, covering both direct and intermediary business. The work is hands-on, with a strong focus on backend data validation and automation.

This is not a pure UI automation role. The focus is on data, DBT, and validating complex insurance workflows.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and building automated test frameworks for data migration validation
• Executing regression suites across large datasets and multiple environments
• Validating data integrity across source and target systems
• Working closely with delivery teams to identify automation opportunities
• Supporting defect management, test environment setup, and test execution

What we're looking for

• 5+ years experience in test automation
• Strong experience in data testing and DBT frameworks
• Experience working in insurance environments, ideally Guidewire
• Hands-on approach, comfortable working across backend validation and automation
• Strong understanding of test frameworks, reusable components, and debugging

Immediate requirement within an active delivery program. 6 month initial contract. This role suits someone who is comfortable operating at the data layer and understands how to validate complex insurance systems beyond surface-level testing.
