API Support Engineer

Job Description:

• Good experience in supporting the APIs environments (gateway, cloud, microservices, etc.)
• Knowledge of API best practices and performance tuning (Rest, microservices)
• Experience in API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization, request and response modifications etc
• Experience in API Development and Strategy
• Experience in creating REST API documentation using Swagger and YAML or similar tools desirable
• Good understanding of data formats such as XML and JSON as well as a basic understanding of methods of data transmission like SSH/SFTP, API etc.
• Investigate and fix reported issues
• Comfortable in written and verbal communication with teammates from PH, US and India

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2-8 years of experience in the technology field (API Support)
