Roles & responsibilities

Workstream Leadership & Delivery Management

  • Lead end-to-end SFMC workstreams, including requirements gathering, solution design, planning, and delivery governance.
  • Manage project risks, dependencies, sprint backlogs, and quality gates.
  • Facilitate workshops and platform walkthroughs with marketing, product, engineering, and CRM teams.

Solution Architecture & Platform Integration

  • Architect SFMC solutions across Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, and Content Builder.
  • Oversee integration patterns between SFMC and connected systems including Salesforce CRM, CMS, DAM, ecommerce, and analytics engines.
  • Govern data modeling, Contact Builder structure, subscriber key strategy, and cross-cloud activation via Marketing Cloud Connect.

Data, Audience & Personalization Strategy

  • Define segmentation strategies, data flows, and campaign architecture leveraging SQL, AMPScript, dynamic content, and customer attributes.
  • Ensure compliance across consent management, deliverability best practices, and privacy requirements.

Analytics, Optimization & Value Realization

  • Lead measurement strategy using Marketing Cloud Intelligence (Datorama) and Einstein tools for predictive engagement.
  • Build optimization roadmaps, testing frameworks (A/B/n, multivariate), and performance improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership & Knowledge Development

  • Mentor ACon/Con team members; review configurations, SQL scripts, documentation, and quality.
  • Contribute to capability building, reusable accelerators, playbooks, and best practice assets.


Required Skills & Expertise

SFMC Platform Expertise

  • Strong hands-on experience across Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Content Builder, and Mobile Studio.
  • Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, and basic SSJS for personalization, segmentation, and automation logic.

Consulting & Leadership Skills

  • Ability to structure complex SFMC/MarTech requirements into clear workstreams and deliverable plans.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills with senior business and technical teams.
  • High-quality documentation, solution storytelling, and synthesis of technical and functional inputs.

Data & Integration Acumen

  • Solid understanding of Contact Builder, data extensions, subscriber key strategy, and data relationships.
  • Working knowledge of Marketing Cloud Connect and integration patterns between SFMC, Salesforce CRM, and broader MarTech ecosystems.
  • Awareness of privacy considerations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR) and data handling best practices.

Analytics & Optimization Skills

  • Ability to interpret campaign and journey performance metrics using SFMC reporting or Marketing Cloud Intelligence (Datorama).
  • Understanding of Einstein features (STO, Engagement Scoring) and how to apply them for optimization.


Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech/MBA
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Marketing Automation, MarTech, or SFMC delivery.
