About the Fellowship Program

The Fellowship Program is a leadership development program that builds young leaders through real-world work with communities, shaping their path in education while strengthening local systems for lasting change.This 2-year program is a chance to grow as an education advocate, build meaningful connections, and create impact that lasts.

Fellows are deployed to one public school and its local community where they will teach and lead programs and projects for two years. Their skills are matched to the needs of their placement community.

Roles and Responsibilities of a Fellow

  • Year 1: Teaches literacy, numeracy, and life skills through TFPs Tara, Kaya! Program
  • Year 2: Works with local leaders to co-design and implement capacity-building programs such as on early childhood development workers, parents (Gabays), and ALS learners
  • Teaches DepEd subjects as assigned by School Head/Principal
  • Engages with public and private stakeholders in the community
  • Participates in personal and professional development opportunities

Benefits of a Fellow

Compensation

  • A monthly salary of Php 25,000 on the first year, subject to applicable taxes and deductions, and inclusive of a monthly chalk allowance of Php 3,000 and a monthly communication allowance of Php 1,000
  • A monthly salary of Php 28,000 on the second year, subject to applicable taxes and deductions, and inclusive of a monthly chalk allowance of Php 3,000 and a monthly communication allowance of Php 1,000

Support

  • A one-time uniform allowance of Php 6,000 at the start of the first school year in the program
  • Optional relocation assistance up to Php 15,000, which may be repaid on a 6-month, 12-month, or 18-month basis
  • Annual medical reimbursement up to Php 5,000 and opt-in/self-pay HMO

Basic Qualifications

Applicants must have the following:

  • Filipino Citizenship
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Competent English and Filipino Skills
  • Formal or informal teaching experience
  • Strong leadership and project management experience
  • Willingness to be deployed in a public school community anywhere in the Philippines for two years
  • Motivation to understand the workings of the Philippine education system at the classroom and local community levels

Selection Process

1. ANSWER THE ELIGIBILITY CHECK FORM. Verify your eligibility to apply for the Fellowship Program by checking if you meet all the minimum qualifications.

2. COMPLETE THE FULL APPLICATION FORM. Help us get to know you better by sharing your personal, academic, work, and leadership background.

3. ATTEND YOUR INITIAL INTERVIEW. Share insights about your reason for applying and your personal and professional experiences.

4. ACCOMPLISH YOUR TECHNICAL TEST. Help us assess your basic knowledge on key areas such as teaching, learning, and community development.

5. COMPLETE THE TASK-BASED ASSESSMENT.
 Participate in a specialized session to assess your alignment with TFPs approach in education and leadership.

6. PREPARE FOR YOUR FINAL INTERVIEW. 
Meet with a member of our Senior Leadership Team and expound further on your motivations and relevant experiences.

7. PARTICIPATE IN THE SUMMER INSTITUTE.
 Get yourself ready for your two-year journey through this training.
