About the Client
Our client is a UK-based group of companies specialising in the import and distribution of professional automotive refinishing products, operating since 2008. They support a network of approximately 100 active trade distributor accounts across the UK and sell through multiple online channels, including Amazon UK, eBay UK, and their own branded webstore.

As their e-commerce operations continue to expand, they are focused on strengthening their online presence, optimising marketplace performance, and driving sustainable sales growth across all digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Listing Optimisation

  • Own and manage all product listings across Amazon Seller Central, eBay Seller Hub, and the company webstore — including pricing, variations, images, titles, and descriptions
  • Write compelling, SEO-optimised product content that improves search visibility and drives conversion
  • Continuously optimise listings based on performance data, platform algorithm changes, and competitor activity
  • Identify opportunities to expand the product portfolio in line with customer demand and market trends
  • Plan and execute promotional campaigns, deals, and sponsored activity to maximise revenue

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Track and report weekly on core KPIs: revenue, units sold, conversion rate, traffic, returns, and bestsellers
  • Conduct trend analysis to forecast demand and identify fast-moving or underperforming SKUs
  • Monitor competitor listings, pricing strategies, and market shifts to keep the catalogue competitive
  • Use data to make informed recommendations on pricing, bundling, and stock prioritisation
  • Deliver clear, actionable insight reports to the Operations Director on a regular basis

Inventory & Fulfilment Coordination

  • Maintain accurate, real-time stock levels across all platforms using BaseLinker and OrderWise
  • Reconcile stock discrepancies between the ERP system and marketplace listings promptly
  • Coordinate stock replenishment with the warehouse and procurement team to prevent stockouts and overselling
  • Support the warehouse pick/pack and courier booking process for online orders where required
  • Manage marketplace performance alerts, late shipment flags, and fulfilment-related issues

Customer Experience & Supplier Liaison

  • Ensure all online customers receive an excellent experience by responding to messages, reviews, and escalations promptly and professionally
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams on product data accuracy, imagery, and new product onboarding
  • Maintain up-to-date product information across all platforms in line with supplier specifications

Marketing & Brand Support

  • Support the online marketing strategy by ensuring listings align with promotional campaigns and brand standards
  • Assist in the creation or coordination of product imagery and digital content where required
  • Maintain awareness of platform advertising tools (e.g. Amazon PPC / Sponsored Products) and apply them to drive traffic

About You
You are a proactive, commercially minded e-commerce professional who takes ownership of results. You are confident working autonomously, comfortable with data, and able to communicate clearly across time zones with a UK-based team.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an e-commerce sales, marketplace management, or similar role
  • Proven hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central and eBay Seller Hub
  • Strong understanding of listing optimisation, SEO principles, and marketplace conversion best practices
  • Experience with an inventory or order management platform (BaseLinker, Linnworks, Veeqo, or similar)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, with strong data analysis and reporting skills
  • Excellent written English with the ability to write clear, engaging, and accurate product content
  • Highly organised, self-directed, and reliable when working remotely without day-to-day supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
  • Comfortable using or learning AI and LLM tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to enhance productivity
