Client Relationship Manager for Business and Commercial Lending
Role Overview
The Client Relationship Manager (CRM) for Business and Commercial Lending serves as a key liaison between the financial institution and its business clients. The role focuses on fostering strong, long-lasting relationships with clients while ensuring their financial needs are met through tailored lending solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of commercial lending products, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to navigate complex financial scenarios.
Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement and Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business clients by understanding their financial goals and challenges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring consistent communication and timely responses.
  • Conduct regular check-ins to assess satisfaction and identify opportunities for support.
2. Business Development
  • Identify new opportunities within the commercial sector to expand the client portfolio.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create strategies for acquiring new clients and cross-selling lending products.
  • Represent the institution at industry events and networking opportunities.
3. Loan Origination and Management
  • Analyze client financial statements and business plans to assess creditworthiness.
  • Guide clients through the loan application process while ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Partner with underwriting teams to facilitate loan approvals and resolve issues.
4. Client Advocacy
  • Act as an advocate for clients within the institution.
  • Provide feedback on client expectations and market trends to improve products and services.
5. Risk Management
  • Monitor client accounts to identify risks or signs of financial distress.
  • Collaborate with risk management teams to develop mitigation strategies.
6. Reporting and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, loan agreements, and account activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on client performance and portfolio status.
