About the job Technical Documentation Specialist
About the Client
Our client is a US-based technical consulting firm specializing in commercial roof inspections and building-envelope assessments. They work on large-scale commercial properties, delivering structured condition reports and investigation findings that building owners and facility managers rely on to make significant capital decisions.
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-driven production professional to join our team. Your primary function is to receive field inspection data — photos, notes, drone imagery, and structured platform exports — and convert them into polished, client-ready deliverables using our established templates and systems.
This is a high-volume, execution-focused role. If you thrive on structured workflows, consistent output quality, and hitting turnaround targets, this is the role for you.
What You'll Do
Report Production (Primary Responsibility)
- Receive and process field inspection data from multiple sources (photos, notes, drone imagery, platform exports)
- Produce professional technical reports and deliverables using established templates
- Maintain high accuracy and consistency across large volumes of output
- Meet defined turnaround targets and proactively flag blockers before they become delays
Documentation & Quality Control
- Ensure all written output meets quality standards in English grammar, formatting, and consistency
- Follow structured documentation workflows precisely and completely
- Conduct light QA/QC checks on your own output before submission
Light CAD Support
- Produce basic roof layout tracings from Google Earth or drone imagery using CAD tools
- This is tracing and drafting work, not design — no architectural or creative judgment required
Project Coordination
- Track tasks and maintain internal project boards
- Keep the production pipeline moving by communicating status clearly and consistently with the team and clients
- Flag issues early; do not wait to be directed
What We're Looking For
- Background in report processing, documentation coordination, QA/QC, technical administration, or audit support
- Proven track record in high-volume, accuracy-driven work environments
- Strong written English — clear, consistent, and professional
- Highly self-managed with a proactive communication style
- Basic proficiency in CAD, Word, and Excel
- Process-follower by nature — you execute defined systems, you don't reinvent them
