INSURANCE VERIFICATION SPECIALIST

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to ensure a seamless patient onboarding experience. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately verifying patient insurance coverage and eligibility, serving as the first point of contact for our clients. Your efficiency and precision will directly contribute to our ability to provide timely care.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility for behavioral health services in a timely and accurate manner

• Contact insurance providers via phone, online portals, and other electronic methods to gather necessary information

• Accurately document benefit details, including copays, deductibles, coinsurance, coverage limitations, and authorization requirements in our patient management system

• Communicate effectively with internal clinical and administrative teams regarding verification outcomes

• Maintain a high level of productivity to meet daily verification targets and support patient scheduling

• Identify and resolve insurance-related issues or discrepancies proactively

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare customer service or administrative roles, with specific hands-on experience in verifying coverage and eligibility

• Ability to work independently from 8:30 AM 5:00 PM Pacific Time

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy

• Proficiency in data entry and computer systems

• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) or practice management software

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
