About the position: In this position, you will be spearheading the investigation into the feasibility of atmospheric science use cases for the groundbreaking Ultimate Tumbleweed Mars Mission. Through cutting-edge simulations and rigorous testing, you'll unravel the mysteries of Martian terrain, paving the way for the ultimate mission success. We're seeking visionary minds with a knack for analytical thinking to tackle complex challenges head-on and shape the future of space exploration.

  • Strong proficiency with programming tools (Python, Matlab)

  • Familiarity with numerical modelling and experimental testing

  • Good documentation and reporting skills

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Planetary Sciences, Earth Sciences, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field

  • Expected commitment of at least 1.5 years and approximately 15 hours per week


Responsibilities:

  • Update and expand atmosphere science use cases and instrument developments.

  • Investigate the technical feasibility of atmospheric science use cases to produce attractive products for the Ultimate Tumbleewed Mars Mission.

  • Regularly collaborate with engineering and business departments to align on constraints and customer needs, respectively.

  • Work regularly with external researchers and engineers (Project Mentors) and attend relevant conferences/events.

  • Establish science, mission, and instrument requirements for the Ultimate Tumbleweed Mars Mission.

  • Document and publish findings in a journal or conference proceeding.
