About the job Air Traffic Control (ATC) Operator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Air Traffic Control (ATC) Operator to support rotary-wing (helicopter) operations. The ideal candidate will manage and coordinate airborne and ground traffic, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of helicopters in both controlled and tactical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control and coordinate rotary-wing (helicopter) airborne and ground traffic
- Provide clear, concise radio communications with pilots and ground personnel
- Manage helicopter takeoff, landing, hover, and ground movement operations
- Assist with installation and relocation of tactical air traffic control facilities
- Process flight plans and maintain logs, records, files, and voice communication recordings
- Apply ATC procedures including radar operations, aircraft recognition, and airspace management specific to rotary-wing operations
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
Minimum Requirements:
- Contractor must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Control airborne and ground traffic.
- Assist in the installation/relocation of tactical air traffic control facilities.
- Process flight plan data and maintain logs, records, files and tape recordings of voice communications.
- Completed job training for air traffic control operator - 15Q, or other US Armed Forces or Commercial equivalent is required.
- Contractor experience of a minimum of four years within the previous ten (10) years highly desired including:
- Air traffic control management and operational processes, including communications and radar procedures, aircraft recognition, and takeoff, landing and ground control procedures.
- Must have the ability to clearly enunciate English without impediment of speech that would interfere with 2-way radio communication.
- Must be able to meet Army Class 2A medical fitness standards for flying as prescribed in AR 40 -501.
- History of alcohol or drug abuse is disqualifying.
Medical Examination: Candidates must successfully complete all mandatory medical examinations required to obtain employment.
Criminal Record: To qualify for a Saudi Work Visa, candidates must have a clean criminal record with no prior convictions, as specified by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Drug and Alcohol Testing: Candidates must pass a drug test to be considered for employment. Additionally, our program enforces a random drug and alcohol testing policy. Employees will be subject to periodic testing to maintain adherence to our workplace standards and safety regulations.
