About the job GCAA A1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled GCAA A1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with valid certifications on B737NG & B737 MAX to join our maintenance and engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing, certifying, and supervising maintenance activities ensuring regulatory compliance, airworthiness, safety, and operational efficiency.
This role is ideal for an engineer who is hands-on, technically strong, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced operational environment, ensuring aircraft readiness with minimum downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Aircraft Maintenance & Certification

Perform, supervise, and certify line & base maintenance on B737NG & B737 MAX fleet.

Conduct scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, defect rectification, and component replacements.

Ensure all work meets GCAA regulatory standards, OEM documentation, and company procedures.

Carry out daily inspections, transit checks, A-checks, defect follow-ups, and release-to-service certification.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

Ensure maintenance records, logbooks, worksheets, and CRS are accurately completed.

Comply with GCAA regulations, quality assurance, and safety protocols.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge on service bulletins, ADs, modifications, and engineering orders.
Safety & Quality Assurance

Adhere to safety protocols, SMS, FOD prevention, and human factors requirements.

Participate in audits, safety meetings, and continuous compliance programs.

Report hazards, incidents, and non-conformities as part of a proactive safety culture.
Technical Troubleshooting & Support

Diagnose mechanical/electrical/avionics issues and provide fast, safe resolutions.

Liaise with MCC, Engineering, and Operations for fault evaluation and dispatch readiness.

Support AOG recovery operations when required (field repairs, on-site support).
Team Coordination
-
Work closely with technicians, planners, engineers, and flight operations.

Assist in training, mentoring, and competency development of junior staff.

Ensure high operational availability and minimum aircraft downtime.
Qualifications & Requirements

Valid GCAA A1 Aircraft Maintenance License Mandatory

Type Rated with Current Authorizations:
B737 NG
B737 MAX -
Recent & hands-on experience on B737 fleet operations.

Minimum 5+ years relevant aircraft maintenance experience.

Strong understanding of maintenance manuals, AMM, IPC, MEL, SRM, wiring diagrams.

Familiar with SMS, QMS, Human Factors, EWIS & Fuel Tank Safety requirements.

Ability to work under pressure, in shift rotations, and respond to AOG situations.

Immediate availability preferred.
