Job Summary:

Tech Partners is seeking a skilled Installation Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting data, voice, fiber, and structured cabling systems in commercial and residential environments. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fiber optic cabling, ensuring high-quality installations that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test network cabling systems, including fiber optic and structured cabling.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Set up telecommunications frames, patch panels, and cable trays.
• Label, pull, and terminate cables while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
• Conduct signal verification and system testing using appropriate tools.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installed cables and equipment.
• Adhere to BICSI, NEC, and OSHA safety regulations.
• Provide customer education on system functionality and proper usage.
• Work in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated locations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience in structured cabling, fiber optics, or telecommunications installation.
• Preferred: BICSI Certification (Technician or Installer Level).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with testing equipment for cable verification.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, work at heights, and operate power tools.
• Valid drivers license (if required for company vehicle use).
