Work Arrangement: Remote with occasional travel to Tulsa, OK and Northwest Arkansas

Compensation: Up to approximately $120,000, based on experience

About the Opportunity

Our client develops and supports critical treasury and financial management applications used by municipalities and public-sector organizations. They are seeking a skilled Software Developer with strong experience building and maintaining Windows desktop applications.

This role is heavily focused on desktop application development using Microsoft technologies. While the organization also maintains web-based applications, the current need is centered on Windows desktop platforms. The ideal candidate enjoys working across application enhancement, maintenance, troubleshooting, and new feature development in an environment where software directly supports essential public services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Windows desktop applications.
  • Support and modernize existing desktop software used by municipal and treasury operations.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and team members to gather requirements and implement solutions.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and provide ongoing support for production systems.
  • Participate in software testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with databases and other business systems.
  • Contribute to application architecture, code reviews, and best practices.
  • Assist with occasional enhancements to other applications when needed.
  • Travel occasionally to company offices and client locations in Tulsa or Northwest Arkansas.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience developing Windows desktop applications using one or more of the following:
    • WinForms
    • WPF
    • WinUI
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting production applications.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Must reside in or be willing to work from the Little Rock, AR, Northwest Arkansas, or Tulsa, OK areas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JavaScript.
  • Experience developing or supporting web applications.
  • SQL Server development experience, including writing queries, stored procedures, and database troubleshooting.
  • Experience working within financial, treasury, banking, municipal, or public-sector environments.
  • Familiarity with modern .NET technologies and application modernization initiatives.
