Our client, a well-established organization in Oklahoma City, is seeking a Desktop Support Technician I to join their IT Operations team. This individual will play a key role in supporting end users across multiple locations, ensuring reliable technology services, quick issue resolution, and a positive support experience.

What You'll Do

  • Provide Tier I desktop and technical support for end users across the organization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications and user accounts.
  • Create, manage, and reset user accounts and passwords through Active Directory.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and updates within the ticketing system.
  • Monitor and prioritize support requests to ensure service level expectations are met.
  • Escalate complex technical issues when appropriate.
  • Build, deploy, and configure desktop and laptop systems.
  • Install and maintain software applications and user-specific configurations.
  • Support mobile devices and mobile device management initiatives.
  • Assist with IT asset management, inventory tracking, and equipment procurement.
  • Identify recurring issues and communicate trends to IT leadership.
  • Provide professional technical support to employees at all organizational levels.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of desktop support, help desk, or technical support experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and services.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory administration and password management.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting printers, monitors, peripherals, and other endpoint devices.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience using remote support tools and ticketing systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting enterprise desktop environments.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technology trends.

Additional Information

This role requires the ability to move and set up computer equipment, including occasional lifting of heavier hardware and peripherals. Candidates must be able to pass applicable background and vehicle screening requirements.
