About the job DevSecOps / Security Engineer
Our client, one of Europe's fastest-growing travel-tech companies (ranked by the Financial Times) and the world's #1 car rental comparison and booking platform, is looking for a forward-thinking DevSecOps / Security Engineer. As they continue to scale – trusted already by over 7 million travelers and pulling in 2.5M+ monthly visits – you will be the driving force behind their security backbone – embedding security into how they build, run, and monitor their systems, and helping them adopt AI safely and effectively.
What you will do:
- Own day-to-day security operations, including monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
- Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, dependency management, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Manage and enhance security tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, and antivirus solutions.
- Lead vulnerability management across cloud and on-premise environments, from identification and prioritization to remediation.
- Lead AI security initiatives by securing AI/LLM tools and integrations, establishing AI governance and usage policies, and leveraging AI to enhance threat detection, log analysis, and security automation.
- Strengthen network security through firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, and access controls.
- Maintain best practices for data protection, identity and access management, backup, and recovery.
- Support ICT risk management and regulatory compliance, including DORA (EU 2022/2554) readiness for insurance operations.
- Communicate security risks, requirements, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuously improve security processes, controls, and resilience while enabling teams to move quickly and safely.
Requirements:
- Experience with cybersecurity operations, security tooling, system monitoring, and incident response.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, and antivirus solutions.
- Strong understanding of network security, including firewalls, VPNs, network protocols, and access management.
- Experience with Windows administration, cloud platforms, and SaaS environments.
- Strong Linux experience
- Knowledge of data protection, identity and access management, backup, and recovery best practices.
- Interest or experience in AI security, including securing AI/LLM tools and applying AI to security operations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Latvian language fluency - required for direct collaboration with Latvijas Banka.
