About the Role

Ellipsis Labs is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join our dynamic team. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our product's future by owning end-to-end development of professional-grade, consumer-facing applications used by a wide external user base. This is NOT an internal tools role - you will be building products that real users interact with directly.

In this role, you will specify, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality applications that power our platform. You will also drive ambitious product initiatives from entirely new product lines to major features through the full lifecycle: ideation, specification, architecture, implementation, testing, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance. You'll be joining an existing team of 4 and report to our product engineering team lead.

You need to have strong product taste, strong computer science fundamentals, and experience and interest in working close to the end user.

Key Responsibilities

• Spec, build, and maintain professional-grade applications for a wide external user base
• Drive ambitious product initiatives (which may include entirely new product lines) from inception to completion: specification, architecture, implementation, testing, monitoring, and maintenance
• Acting half as PM, half as engineer, doing everything from talking to the end user to understand what features they want built, and then build them end-to-end in React/TypeScript

Requirements

2–6 years of experience building user-facing software products with high quality and well-documented production code

Experience building great UX with modern frontend frameworks, specifically React or TypeScript

Must have experience building consumer-facing products for a wide external user base (not internal tools)

Bonus Skills

• Experience working with blockchain technology, specifically Solana
• Interest in quant trading or fintech
• Product design or product management experience
• Passion for decentralized finance
• A demonstrated track record of high agency, willingness to dive into unfamiliar technical and non-technical areas, and a team-first attitude
