About the role

The Migration Developer will serve as a key technical contributor within the clients core banking transformation programme, focused on the accurate and secure migration of client, account, and transactional data into Temenos Transact T24. Specialising in the T24 Data Migrator (DM) tool, the developer will design, implement, and validate end-toend data loading processes across multiple banking modules, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute data migration loads into T24 using the native Data Migrator (DM) tool, applying best practices for staging, transformation, validation, and error handling.
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of T24 functional modules relevant to migration, including:
    • CUSTOMER (Client Master)
    • ACCOUNT (Deposit, Loan, Securities Accounts)
    • CONTRACT (Product Agreements)
    • ARRANGEMENT ARCHITECTURE
    • PRIVATE BANKING (Derivatives, Forex, Securities, Corporate Actions,..)* At least any one of the above
    • LEDGER (Balances, Holdings)
    • PAYMENT, LIMITS, and RELATIONSHIP
  • Configure and manage DM templates, mappings, filters, and loaders for each module, tailoring approaches based on volume, complexity, and dependencies.
  • Apply appropriate loading techniques depending on module and context:
    • Initial Load vs. Delta Migration
    • Use of TDB (Transactional Database) vs. Historical Database (HIST)
    • Handling of effective dating, event-driven updates, and version chains
  • Integrate DM workflows with external ETL tools or scripts for preprocessing and reconciliation.
  • Perform pre-load validation, post-load verification, and reconciliation to ensure data fidelity across source and target environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve DM errors related to reference data, mandatory fields, cascading updates, or business rule violations.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Testers, and Infrastructure teams during SIT, UAT, and go-live support.
  • Document technical designs, data flows, exception logs, and recovery procedures for audit and operational sustainability.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of technical experience in T24 environments, with direct involvement in at least two full-cycle T24 migration or implementation projects.
  • Proven expertise in the T24 Data Migrator (DM) tool, including template creation, loader configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong command of jBASE/T24 platform, ECI calls, and basic jQL/jBC scripting for automation and validation.
  • Hands on experience in TAFJ, DB tools, Infobasic coding
  • Hands on experience on Screen, Enquiry Designing, OFS concepts, multithreaded routines, Customisation in T24/Transact, and worked on T24 Latest releases (at least R23 and above)
  • Good understanding on the T24 Pack deployments using DSF packager
  • Solid understanding of T24 data model, record structures, workflow events, and integration points.
  • Experience working in regulated banking environments with emphasis on data security and integrity.

Preferred Attributes

  • Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall hybrid delivery models and tools such as Jira, Git, or SVN.
  • Exposure to data quality frameworks, profiling techniques, and automated reconciliation scripts.
  • Knowledge of Swiss private banking operations and regulatory requirements (e.g., FATCA, CRS, MiFID II).

Technical Accountabilities

  • Ownership of technical delivery for assigned T24 migration streams using DM.
  • Ensuring all loads comply with banking controls, audit trails, and rollback procedures.
  • Guaranteeing zero-data-loss and full traceability throughout the migration lifecycle.
