Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Technical Consultant with over 5 years of hands-on expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) implementations and support. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of SAP MDG framework, ABAP, BRF+, BADI enhancements, FPM, and UI5/Fiori, along with a solid understanding of data modeling, governance processes, and integration with SAP and non-SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and implement SAP MDG solutions for Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance, and Custom Objects.

  • Develop and maintain data models, workflows, validations, and derivations within SAP MDG.

  • Build and customize UI5/Fiori applications and FPM-based UI configurations for MDG processes.

  • Implement BRF+ rules, BADI enhancements, and data validations as per business requirements.

  • Integrate SAP MDG with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and other third-party applications using ALE/IDoc, Web Services, or APIs.

  • Support data replication and consolidation activities across SAP and non-SAP landscapes.

  • Work on data migration, cleansing, and harmonization projects in MDG.

  • Collaborate with functional consultants, business users, and stakeholders to gather requirements and design technical solutions.

  • Provide technical documentation, UAT support, and production issue resolution.

  • Optimize system performance and ensure data quality, compliance, and governance standards are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP MDG technical development.

  • Strong expertise in:

    • ABAP development (OOABAP, Enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, User Exits).

    • BRF+ rule framework for validations/derivations.

    • FPM, Web Dynpro, UI5/Fiori customization for MDG applications.

    • Workflow configuration and enhancements.

    • MDG Data Models (MM, BP, FI, CO, Custom Objects).

  • Good understanding of SAP HANA, SLT, ALE/IDOC, OData Services, and Web Services.

  • Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA integration.

  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data migration concepts.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
