Senior Software Engineer - Node.Js

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Node.js with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate must be proficient in TypeScript and Nest.js, have strong expertise in MongoDB, and be skilled in building optimized APIs.
Experience with WebSockets, Microservices, and Redis is essential. The candidate should also have a good understanding of system design and best practices for performance and maintainability.
Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Nest.js.
• Design and implement RESTful and WebSocket APIs that are efficient, secure, and maintainable.
• Work extensively with MongoDB for data modeling and query optimization.
• Build and manage Microservices for modular and scalable applications.
• Utilize Redis for caching and inter-service communication.
• Ensure backend systems are performant, reliable, and maintainable.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3-4 years of backend development experience using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong hands-on experience with Nest.js framework.
• Deep understanding of MongoDB and Mongoose ODM.
• Experience in WebSockets and real-time communication.
• Proven work in Microservices architecture and modular application design.
• Practical experience using Redis for caching or Pub/Sub.
• Basic understanding of system design and scalable backend architecture.
• Good grasp of API optimization and security best practices.
• Proficient with version control tools like Git.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
