Software Quality Assuarnce Engineer

About the Role

TEKHQS is looking for an experienced and dynamic Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in manual testing, focusing on ensuring the functionality, performance, and security of APIs and database systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual test cases for API and Database systems, ensuring functionality, performance, and security.
• Conduct thorough API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
• Perform Database testing to verify data integrity, database queries, and stored procedures.
• Validate API responses, ensure error handling is proper, and perform load testing for APIs.
• Collaborate with developers to identify, report, and track defects throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer with a focus on API and Database Testing.
• Strong knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, SoapUI or similar.
• Experience with Database testing (e.g., validating data, testing SQL queries, stored procedures.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex queries for database validation.
• Experience in writing and executing test plans, test cases, and documenting defects.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA or similar.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams.
