Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Exercise control over the tax compliance, i.e. responsible for coordination of accurate and timely calculation of taxes and other obligatory payments to RoK budget, timely tax filing and control over fullness and timeliness of tax payments.

Ensure timely estimation of taxes and other obligatory payments.

Provide advice on all tax matters, tax risk management.

Ensure the sufficient filing and archive system is in place.

Coordination of the tax audits.

Take an active part in drafting appeals against the tax audit reports.

Ensure timely review of all tax notices and timely responses to all tax correspondence.

Represent the Companys interest in tax-related matters, as required.

Tax review of contracts.

Monitor legislative tax changes and raise awareness of all related changes to the team and prepare communication.

Engagement with Tax Authorities on the Companys tax matters.

Qualifications & Experience:

The job holder must have:

  • University degree in finance & accounting.
  • 5 years related experience in Petroleum industry, including working knowledge of Kazakh tax law (corporate taxation), including experience in managerial role, experience and/or in Tax profession of Big 4.

Required Competencies:

The job holder must have proven:

  • Excellent verbal and written knowledge of English Language.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with Fiscal Authorities.
  • Knowledge of basics of RoK labour law.
  • Accuracy, Team player
  • Capability to work with PC, MS office programs.

Working Conditions:

Office based, 5/2 scheduled work with business trips around KZ and abroad, when required.
