Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BS in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent diploma.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience. 
  • Working (i.e diagnosing/ troubleshooting) on lifting equipment and accessories.
  • Familiar with test mechanical products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer's specifications. 
  • Has detailed knowledge of overhead crane maintenance, including crane rails, associated lifting equipment, hooks, ropes, motors, and engines, moving parts, trolleys, crane hydraulic system, crane electrical systems, limit switches etc. 
  • English proficiency in verbal and written communication, upper intermediate level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow and comply with all HSSE requirements and regulations. 
  • Ensure the work is performed safe and with due care of Company's assets. 
  • Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts. 
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools. 
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges. 
  • Read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency. 
  • Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using.
  • Prepare equipment for RoK related inspection and arrange all required paperwork. 
  • Carry out fault diagnosis and route cause analysis on components after failure.
  • Manage the team and ensure the working area is in good condition. 
  • Perform all other duties as required by Company's Lifting Equipment Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
