Qualifications and Requirements:
- BS in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent diploma.
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience.
- Working (i.e diagnosing/ troubleshooting) on lifting equipment and accessories.
- Familiar with test mechanical products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer's specifications.
- Has detailed knowledge of overhead crane maintenance, including crane rails, associated lifting equipment, hooks, ropes, motors, and engines, moving parts, trolleys, crane hydraulic system, crane electrical systems, limit switches etc.
- English proficiency in verbal and written communication, upper intermediate level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow and comply with all HSSE requirements and regulations.
- Ensure the work is performed safe and with due care of Company's assets.
- Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.
- Read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
- Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using.
- Prepare equipment for RoK related inspection and arrange all required paperwork.
- Carry out fault diagnosis and route cause analysis on components after failure.
- Manage the team and ensure the working area is in good condition.
- Perform all other duties as required by Company's Lifting Equipment Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
