Job Description:
- Ensure implementation and compliance with all Group policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Provide technical, procedural, and behavioral leadership and mentoring to junior staff to ensure minimum standards of health & safety, quality, and ethics are maintained in all project and related activities.
- Collect, analyze, and apply Project technical specifications issued by the Client in accordance with international standards and applicable legal requirements.
- Review and comment on Client technical documentation and requirements.
- Execute assigned activities such as design input, verification, and studies related to discipline engineering topics.
- Contribute to design and engineering optimization in terms of cost, fabrication, and HSSE.
- Assist the Engineering Manager in resolving technical issues arising during Project development and support interfaces with internal/external contracting and procurement departments.
- Execute, verify, and analyze design and as-built documentation, including engineering activities performed by third parties and/or Subcontractors.
- Review drawings and design documents for compliance with the requirements of RoK norms, standards, regulations, Client specifications, and international standards.
- Develop documentation including General Explanatory Notes, Construction Method Plans, and other documents required for state expertise and approvals from state authorities.
- Develop construction schedules and calculate required resources (personnel, equipment, etc.) for each construction stage.
- Develop construction layout plans including arrangement of facilities and equipment at the construction site, implementation of geodetic surveys, safety measures, and selection of temporary storage areas for materials, equipment, and construction machinery during construction and installation works.
The Candidate Should Know:
- Requirements of legislation, regulatory legal acts, and technical documents governing the design, construction, and operation of water supply, sewage, fire protection, and drainage systems.
- Regulatory documents and standards related to the design and operation of water supply, wastewater, and fire protection systems, including current SNIP, GOST, SP, and NPB standards.
- Technical specifications and guidelines for the development and documentation of project estimates for engineering systems.
- Design methods, hydraulic calculations, and technical/economic justifications for engineering systems.
- Technologies related to the design, construction, and installation of water supply, sewage, drainage, and fire protection systems.
- Types and properties of materials used in engineering systems, including pipelines, pumping stations, water treatment systems, and firefighting installations.
- Design and modeling tools for engineering systems (e.g., CAD, BIM, hydraulic calculation software).
- Basics of patent law and intellectual property related to engineering system design.
- Best practices in the design and construction of water supply, sewage, fire protection, and drainage systems.
- Economic, environmental, and social requirements for designed facilities, including energy efficiency and sustainability principles.
- Mandatory safety, labor protection, and environmental protection requirements during the design and operation of engineering systems.
- Ability to analyze and update project documentation according to evolving Client needs and new regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Ability to use specialized software for design and hydraulic calculations (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, FluidFlow, WaterCAD, Bentley WaterGEMS, etc.).
- Ability to manage a team of specialists.
- Ability to prevent and resolve conflict situations.
- Strong communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and ability to stay updated with the latest norms, regulations, and standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering is the minimum requirement; Master's degree preferred.
- Language Skills: Russian and English are mandatory; Kazakh is an advantage.
- Professional Experience: Minimum 15 years of technical experience.
