Job Title:

HSE Asset Operations Supervisor

Purpose: provision of full scope of HSE Support. To support companys management in ensuring compliance with Industrial Safety, Occupation Health and Safety and Environmental legislative requirements, as well as ensuring proactive follow up actions.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  1. Defines, implements, monitors and continually improves the Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial safety and Environment Management process of the Subsidiary in compliance with the Company requirements.
  2. Ensures company operations comply with applicable HSE laws and regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  3. Defines the HSE goals and objectives with risk-based approach, monitors HSE performance.
  4. Working closely with leadership team in pursuing HSE goals and objectives, mitigating HSE risks, continuously improving HSE performance with respect to on-going and future growth operations.
  5. Works closely with leadership and leading operations HSE teams to ensure effective HSE processes and programs in place.
  6. Develops, executes and evaluates improvement programs to assure compliance with local HSE laws and regulations; monitors the changes in national HSE regulations and notify the subsidiarys management for management of change.
  7. Initiates proactive interactions and effective collaboration with contractors on HSE related aspects.
  8. Organizes HSE trainings for operations leaders and HSE professionals.
  9. Ensures HSE requirements are incorporated into contractor management process.
  10. Regularly conducts HSE inspection and verification of activities to ensure compliance with HSE requirements and national HSE regulations, ensures timely closure of inspection findings.
  11. Actively participate in Incident Investigation processes and ensures the quality of the root cause analysis and proper follow up of the action plans.
  12. To participate and assist with any relevant audits and remedial actions, to prepare required check lists and conduct interviews.
  13. To liaise with Health and human resources competent functions for the matters related to health management system and in particular on occupational health, industrial hygiene.
  14. To assist manager in identifying risk factors, assessing risks and identifying safety measures, developing preventive and protective measures, control systems, safety procedures, proposing workers' information and training programmes, informing workers, taking part in safety consultations and periodic safety meetings, implementing.

Qualifications & Experience:

The job holder must have:

  • Higher education in engineering or HSE degree.
  • NEBOSH Certificate is preferable.
  • At least 3 years related experience on a similar role in local or international company.

Working Conditions:

  • Office based,5/2 scheduled work with business trips around KZ and abroad, when required.
