Senior Quality Control Coordinator(GSU)

Job Summary:

• The Senior QC Coordinator manages the day-to-day quality control function for the project, coordinating inspection activities across all disciplines, controlling quality documentation from material receipt through final handover, and acting as the primary quality interface with the client and third-party inspectors. The role ensures that the project quality plan and ITPs are implemented consistently and that the certification dossier is built progressively, not at the end of the job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the Project Quality Plan and discipline ITPs; plan and coordinate daily inspection activities across welding, piping, painting, and NDE.
• Assign and supervise QC Inspectors; review their reports for accuracy, completeness, and code compliance before issue.
• Act as the primary QC point of contact with the client, third-party inspectors, and certifying bodies; coordinate hold and witness points and notification schedules.
• Manage the NDE subcontractor interface: request scheduling, report review, repair tracking, and RT film/UT record control.
• Control the project quality documentation system: weld logs, material traceability, inspection reports, NCRs, and punch lists.
• Manage the NCR process end-to-end — issue, disposition, corrective action, verification, and close-out — and report quality trends to management.
• Oversee test pack compilation and progressive assembly of the final documentation dossier (MDR) for handover.
• Verify calibration status of inspection, measuring, and test equipment used on the project.
• Support internal and client audits; close audit findings within agreed timescales.
• Review welder qualification status, WPS coverage, and inspector certifications against the project scope.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of QA/QC experience in oil & gas fabrication or construction, including at least 3 years coordinating multi-discipline inspection teams.
• Valid CSWIP 3.2 or AWS SCWI (or equivalent senior welding inspection certification).
• Strong working knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME Sec. VIII/IX, and client specifications typical of major O&G operators.
• Proven experience managing NCRs, ITP execution, and final documentation (MDR) delivery.
• Confident communicator with client and third-party representatives; strong reporting skills in English, is an advantage.
