Job Title: Legal Advisor
Purpose: Provide legal expert guidance on all legal matters related to company activities in compliance with applicable legislation by minimizing legal risks, as well as company policies and procedures.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- To provide legal interpretation and guidance on all legal matters related to company activities across the full project lifecycle, with particular emphasis on the projects in compliance with applicable legislation.
- To provide legal assistance with reference to advising on, drafting, reviewing and negotiating of any types of agreements, service contracts, leasing contracts and operational documentation, ensuring legal robustness and risk allocation aligned with applicable standards.
- To provide legal corporate governance support in relation to secretarial activities and duties (draft notes/requests to the meetings).
- To monitor the national regulatory and legal framework and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
- To review and check on legal compliance of the Company documents (contracts, memorandums, letters, etc.) with current legislation of the RoK.
- To coordinate, in conjunction with legal departments of parent companies, the relationships with local authorities to promote the Company's position towards instructions and associations by ensuring the correct information flow.
- To ensure analysis and preparation of documentation relating to litigation / claims / legal issues of the company.
- To research and evaluation of different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations from a legal perspective.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High University degree in Law.
- At least 3 years of professional legal experience in an international company or similar.
- Experience in international working practice.
Required Competencies and Skills:
- Ability to clearly express and draft legal documents (claims, objections, appeals, advice, memorandums, opinions, procedures and policies).
- Ability to provide high-level executive summary of complex legal issues.
- Knowledge of Energy Industry is preferable.
- Interpersonal & communication skills.
- Team leader skills, accuracy in details and team player.
- Capability to work with PC, MS office programs.
- Good speaking and written business English.
Working Conditions:
- Office based, 5/2 scheduled work with business trips around KZ and abroad, if required.
