Terrelonge Staffing Solutions is actively seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent (Tri-Hat) for a federal construction project based in Long Beach, CA. The role involves leading the execution of work at a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) facility. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a strong background in federal contracting and tenant improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities

Lead on-site construction activities, ensuring full compliance with project plans, specifications, and federal regulations.

Maintain project documentation including RFI and Submittal logs, three-week look ahead schedules, and lean boards.

Coordinate with Project Manager, subcontractors, and suppliers to manage labor, materials, and schedule expectations.

Enforce on-site safety procedures, ensuring strict adherence to federal safety standards.

Conduct regular site inspections to track progress and address issues proactively.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to resolve design or field conflicts.

Keep daily reports, progress photos, and as-built documentation accurate and up to date in Microsoft 365 and Procore.

Provide mentorship and leadership to field teams, promoting a collaborative and results-driven work culture.
Minimum Requirements

5+ years of superintendent experience on federal construction projects, with VA project experience strongly preferred.

OSHA 30 Certification (Required)

Familiarity with USACE EM 385-1-1 (Plus)

Knowledge of ICRA standards and VA permit processing

Experience with tenant improvements, ideally in hospital or healthcare settings

Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Procore

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to lead and inspire field teams through all phases of construction
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with hospital construction

Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, drywall, framing, and painting scopes

QCM (Quality Control Management) Certification (Plus)

Salary: $70,000 $120,000 depending on experience
