Terrelonge Staffing Solutions is actively seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent (Tri-Hat) for a federal construction project based in Long Beach, CA. The role involves leading the execution of work at a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) facility. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a strong background in federal contracting and tenant improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site construction activities, ensuring full compliance with project plans, specifications, and federal regulations.

  • Maintain project documentation including RFI and Submittal logs, three-week look ahead schedules, and lean boards.

  • Coordinate with Project Manager, subcontractors, and suppliers to manage labor, materials, and schedule expectations.

  • Enforce on-site safety procedures, ensuring strict adherence to federal safety standards.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to track progress and address issues proactively.

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to resolve design or field conflicts.

  • Keep daily reports, progress photos, and as-built documentation accurate and up to date in Microsoft 365 and Procore.

  • Provide mentorship and leadership to field teams, promoting a collaborative and results-driven work culture.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of superintendent experience on federal construction projects, with VA project experience strongly preferred.

  • OSHA 30 Certification (Required)

  • Familiarity with USACE EM 385-1-1 (Plus)

  • Knowledge of ICRA standards and VA permit processing

  • Experience with tenant improvements, ideally in hospital or healthcare settings

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Procore

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to lead and inspire field teams through all phases of construction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hospital construction

  • Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, drywall, framing, and painting scopes

  • QCM (Quality Control Management) Certification (Plus)
