Key Responsibility:

  • Leading team to run E2E process of both bakery for in-store and bought-in smoothly and building good collaboration on both buyer and operation side
  • Lead the teams to deliver financial targets, accurate sales and quantum profit budgets for the category
  • Support the category strategy review process and strategic change programmes, translating the strategy into clear plans for my team to drive category growth
  • Work with Production, Supply Chain and Operation teams to deliver continuous improvements, great service levels and reduce waste
  • Ensure great product availability for our customers and simplify the operation processes where possible.
  • Encourage my team to build long term supplier relationships, improving the trading position in a sustainable way and oversee the selling and buying plan ensuring there is supplier strategy to meet the total category plan
  • Lead or support complex negotiations by my buying team meeting regularly with our supply base
  • Challenge my team to create great customer focused ranges and product innovation across all formats, channels and affluence levels, supported by the right sourcing plan
  • Review and responding to weekly trading results and competitor actions, ensuring price is competitive for our customers and profitable
  • Support the category trade and events plan with market leading, customer insight driven promotions and events
  • Forecast and manage my budgets effectively, always being cost conscious and Stock monitoring/Improve customer working collaboration
  • Support team to understand product recipes, allocate with the right number and develop tools or communication packs for operations clearly and ensure that the communication and implementation of process are delivered effectively
  • Support stores and solve the issues that related with bakery process & production so we will have the availability of the product to meet the specification standard for serving to the customer expectation
  • Develop and leading a high performing team, giving them the opportunities to be their best to achieve KPIs and improve the category for customers


  • 10+ years of related work experience in commercial Retail Business with extensive experience in Bakery both bought-in and in-store would be preferable
  • Strong process orientation and scalable solutions to complex problems
  • Strong leadership skill and high resilience
  • Negotiation, Supplier management, Stakeholder management, Data analysis and Leadership skill
  • Category Management and Commercial Acumen as well as developing Category Strategy
  • Experience in working cross functionally to deliver step change projects
  • Leading a team and understanding of country and global supply chain products
