About the job Lead Manager, Talent & Succession Planning (People Team)
Key Responsibility:
Delivers results:
- Support driving of business performance through talent management activity such as talent spotting, talent development programme, succession planning.
- Overseeing the Talent Cycle for the company, including the preparation and presentation of leadership papers and Performance & Potential grids
- Closely work with Learning team to create talent development plan to address immediate capability & resourcing issues across all business, ensuring alignment between talent and academy activities and
- Coaches Line Managers / Function Heads / Directors to ensure the right approach when spotting talent and identifying development activities for each talent group
- Championing talent management creating stakeholder buy-in to ensure the business is set up for success
- Embeds a culture and provides support to ensure Line Managers assume full accountability to identify and develop talents within their area
- Working with People Business Partner teams to provide insight & recommendations on talent gaps and trends
Coach and develop team:
- Coach team members and at the same time provides support they need in delivering their work
- Encourage team to improve their capability as well as keep an eyes on new talent trend and knowledge in labor market.
Successfully manages relationships:
- Partners with Line Managers, Function Heads / Directors, People Business Partner, Learning, Resourcing to ensure strong talent pipeline, successful implementation of all talent and succession planning activities.
Understands needs of talents / successors:
- Understands what development activities are appropriate for each successor / each group of talents
- Follows up and seeks feedback / input from stakeholders on career planning / talent pipeline and development activities
Develop effective engagement process
- Set up engagement process that offer employees variety, opportunities to exert influence, and a chance to make a difference
- Ensure the engagement plan and process strengthen bonds and improve communication and collaboration between colleagues and management
- Proactively work with Group and cross functional teams to Simplify engagement process.
Build up great employer brand
- Go to person for other engagement/Best Employer Survey.
- Organize forum, event, open house in the way that create excellence employer brand awareness
- Ensure people team role model on people practice
Qualifications :
- Experience in Talent & Succession management
- Experience in Capability Management, upskilling, training and related field
- Project Management experience
- Business Acumen skills
