Reports to: Vietnam BW R&D Lead

Role Purpose

The R&D dCom Innovation Project Manager is accountable for leading and delivering Digital Commerce–led innovation projects for Vietnam.
The role focuses on accelerating speed-to-market, ensuring technical robustness and social first, communication support, and enabling agile experimentation tailored to dCom needs.

In addition to dCom projects, the role flexibly contributes to other local R&D priority workstreams, depending on business needs and resource demand.

Key Responsibilities

dCom Innovation Project Leadership

  • Act as Technical Project Leader for local dCom innovation projects from scoping, sourcing scouting to launch.
  • Deliver agile, fast-track technical solutions aligned with dCom business needs.
  • Ensure timely delivery of product, packaging, and technical support, social first and demand creation content/deliverables.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Marketing, CMI, Dcom, Supply Chain, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, QA, and Central R&D team in Bangkok.
  • Provide clear technical recommendations, risk assessments, and decision support.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Unilever R&D standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Support technical sign-offs, claims review, social first content creation & support and artwork approval where required.

Flexible Local R&D Contribution

Support or lead additional local R&D workstreams/ projects such as innovation management, digitalization, post-launch review, or capability building, as needed.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Cosmetic, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • >4 years in RnD and 2+ years of experience in R&D innovation, technical project leadership, or similar roles.
  • Dcom experience/interest, Social first, digital savvy is highly needed.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environments.

Key Interfaces

  • Internal: Marketing, CMI, Supply Chain, Procurement, RA, QA, Digital / dCom teams
  • External: Suppliers, testing laboratories, agencies (as required)
