Accountant (Manufacturing)

Expected working location: Nhà xưởng D1-1, đường VL3, khu công nghiệp Vĩnh Lộc 2, Xã Mỹ Yên, Tỉnh Tây Ninh, Việt Nam (Work remotely then onsite from 2027)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to join the finance team at our medical device manufacturing facility in Vietnam. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the factory's day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining strict compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and local statutory requirements. This role is critical in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of the factory.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Financial Operations:
· Handle full set of accounting duties
· Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
· Handle daily accounting entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
· Manage cash flow, prepare payment requests, and oversee petty cash.

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close:
· Prepare and post month-end closing journal entries (accruals, prepayments, depreciation).
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports, and submit to Group Finance.
· Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are accurately stated.

Cost Accounting & Analysis:
· Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including material, labor, and overhead.
· Support cost accounting activities, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
· Provide financial data and analysis to support operational decision-making and cost-control initiatives.

Compliance & Audits:
· Ensure compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and corporate accounting policies.
· Prepare and submit statutory reports, including VAT, CIT, PIT declarations, to local authorities on time.
· Support and coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits. Prepare necessary documentation and schedules.

Budgeting & Forecasting Support:
· Assist the Finance Manager in the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for the factory.
· Monitor actual performance against budget and conduct variance analysis.

Systems & Process Improvement:
· Utilize the company's ERP system effectively for financial transactions and reporting.
· Participate in the development and implementation of finance process improvements and internal controls.

Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a strong plus.
· At least 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.
· In-depth knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
· Solid experience with ERP systems; experience with Epicor is a significant advantage.
· Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
· High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
· Good in both spoken and written English. Mandarin will be an advantage.
· Applicants with more experience can be considered as Senior Accountant.
