About the job Principal Waste Consultant
Job Purpose:
- Provide strategic leadership in the planning, development, and delivery of high-profile waste management projects and programmes.
- Oversee and direct project teams in the execution of complex waste management consultancy assignments.
- Drive innovation and thought leadership in waste strategy, circular economy, and sustainable infrastructure development.
- Lead client engagement at senior levels, building long-term partnerships and securing major projects.
- Take responsibility for the financial performance of projects and contribute to divisional targets.
- Represent AESG in industry forums, conferences, and working groups, enhancing the companys visibility and thought leadership in the waste management sector.
Qualification:
- Masters degree in Waste Management, Environmental Engineering/Science, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in waste management consultancy, with a strong track record of managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects.
- In-depth knowledge of advanced waste treatment, resource recovery, and recycling technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in policy development, strategy formulation, and advisory at government or senior corporate level.
Responsibilities:
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of large and complex projects, ensuring high-quality outputs and client satisfaction.
- Provide expert strategic advice on waste management policy, planning, and infrastructure development.
- Develop long-term business strategies to expand AESGs waste management service offerings and market presence.
- Secure new business through active involvement in proposals, bids, client negotiations, and networking.
- Mentor and develop senior and mid-level consultants, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Take ownership of financial management of major projects, ensuring profitability, cost control, and timely delivery.
- Engage with regulators, policymakers, and industry leaders to influence sector direction and support AESGs growth.
