Overview

Located in Brooksville, Florida, Oak Hill Hospital serves Hernando and Citrus counties with a broad range of services, including a 24/7 Emergency Department, comprehensive cardiovascular programs, advanced surgical care, and women's health.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate, timely, and efficient clinical laboratory testing across multiple technical disciplines, including Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology.

• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and ensure proper calibration and performance.

• Evaluate and interpret patient results, performing delta checks and correlation studies as needed.

• Conduct and document quality control procedures in accordance with CAP and other regulatory standards.

• Perform STAT testing within target turnaround times.

• Troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment or procedural issues.

• Support department compliance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.

• Handle critical results and problem specimens according to established protocols.

• Assist in maintaining sufficient reagent and supply inventories.

• Assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of a lab supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.

• Active State of Florida Technologist License (in relevant specialties).

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field.

• Experience in a hospital-based or high-complexity clinical laboratory setting.

Compensation & Incentives

Hourly Pay Range:

• Minimum: $27.09/hr

• Midpoint: $32.51/hr

• Maximum: $37.92/hr

Additional Compensation:

• Night Shift Differential: +$2.50/hr

• On-Call Pay: +$2.00/hr

• Sign-On Bonus:

  • $10,000 (Night Shift)

  • $5,000 (Day Shift)

• Relocation Assistance: Available case-by-case
