Seeking skilled Registered Nurses for an Inpatient Surgical Unit in Gainesville, Florida. This fast-paced post-surgical environment cares for patients recovering from abdominal and general surgeries requiring overnight or extended hospital stays. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive post-operative nursing care for abdominal and general surgery patients.

• Monitor patient recovery, administer medications, and perform wound assessments and dressing changes.

• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and post-surgical care.

• Manage up to 7 patients per shift with accuracy, organization, and efficiency.

• Collaborate with physicians, surgical teams, and support staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient progress in accordance with hospital policy.

• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

• Maintain professionalism and accountability in all interactions.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (acute care, home health, LTAC, skilled nursing, outpatient rehab, or corrections accepted).

• Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license (must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation).

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).

• BLS certification (AHA) prior to start.

• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of employment.

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Compensation & Benefits

Base Pay: $30.69 to $43.20/hr (based on years of experience)
Differentials & Incentives:

• Night Differential: +$4.25/hr

• Weekend Differential: +$3.00/hr

• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000 (Days) / $25,000 (Nights)
