Overview

A leading healthcare organization near Lynn Haven, Florida is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse Manager to oversee evening operations in a 44-bed emergency department that averages 140180 patient visits daily. This position supervises approximately 55 clinical and support staff and plays a key role in optimizing workflow, patient safety, and team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day oversight of Emergency Department operations during evening hours.

  • Manage staffing, assignments, and resource utilization to maintain safe and efficient care delivery.

  • Collaborate with physicians and ancillary departments to improve coordination and throughput.

  • Drive quality, safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives within the department.

  • Participate in budget management, scheduling, and performance improvement planning.

  • Mentor and coach clinical staff to promote engagement and professional excellence.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.

  • Represent the department on hospital committees and community outreach programs.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active RN license in Florida or Compact State (Florida endorsement within 90 days)

  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing; enrollment in BSN program required

  • Minimum of 35 years of recent leadership experience in an acute care Emergency Department

  • Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)

Preferred:

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher

  • Emergency or trauma certification (CEN, TNCC, ENP, or equivalent)
